CRITgroup is a recently formed initiative, started by graduates from MIRIAD (Manchester Institute for Research and Innovation in Art and Design) at MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University). It aims to facilitate an opportunity for those working in a broad range of disciplines to meet, share and discuss their practical work as well as issues impacting on their practices, be those professional or otherwise. While exchange and dialogue is encouraged, those who wish to attend but do not have new work to share are also very welcome. To date, those involved in the group have practices ranging from Sculpture, Jewellery, Photography, 3D Design, Textiles, Book Art, Ceramics, Installation, Painting, Community Projects, Illustration, Curation and Graphic Design. Though this is a new group, it is hoped that opportunities for collaboration and/or exhibition will develop in the future.
