In June 2012 the Nexus Art Café became the backdrop for an alternative use of Placemaking Boards as seen in the Hulme Workshops.

At a meeting of the staff and various community groups who use Nexus, the I Remember, This Place Is and I Hope To See boards were employed as a visual alternative to paper based questionnaires as a feedback gathering exercise. The outcomes will help the café reflect on its successes as well as providing suggestions for improvements from those who use the space.

This exciting development demonstrates the potential of the boards in achieving a very clear aim and from participant feedback has proven to be a successful method of engaging people in exploring places physically as well as through verbal discussion. Photos from the session were displayed as part of the Nexhibitionists show, which celebrated the different groups that have used the café. This opened on June 28th 2012 and coincided with the Private View of I Hope To See.
