Between 2011 and 2013, Glittermouse visited several cities in China and Japan; as an educator in art and design and a practicing artist as well as an enthusiastic traveller. During these visits, she photographically recorded moments of calm and reflection in public places including mountainsides, seafronts and temples.

Ten of these images remain on display at Manchester Buddhist Centre's  Earth Café.

Following positive feedback from exhibition visitors, further work developed a series of canvasses further exploring the Peaceful Places mood. 


Investigative sketches and the resulting paintings were titled The Serenity Series.
