Glittermouse has recently visited events in Wythenshawe to run crafts workshops for local families. In the year where so much of the country is celebrating all things British, Participants were asked what makes them proud of their city. They considered the best features of their area and used these as starting points to make their own ‘local souvenirs’ using glass painting techniques. Those who participated learnt new craft techniques as well as developing their understanding of certain theoretical aspects of design. All those who joined in were happy with their final outcomes and families made comments indicating that the workshop was an “excellent opportunity to design and make” and "absolutely great!"
