Mud '96
In summer days,
Through heat haze,
Doing things we’re not supposed to do.
Break into a sweat,
I think you’d better let me talk you through.
Clear blue sky,
We need no reason why,
The threat of rain cannot hurt me.
Long lazy day,
I’m sure I heard you say that we’re not free.
The pavement’s burning hot,
You show me what you’ve got,
We say we’re happy and that’s why we’re dancing.
The warm breeze spreads her wings,
But there are just too many things that we’re chancing.
Standing on the hill,
No more winter chill,
We’re lonely that’s why we’re together.
Long lives the light,
Holding back the night,
When we’ll hit the streets forever.
