With current work exploring the role of different interactions in modern city spaces and the impact of these on issues including public ownership and social cohesion, the aim of the Cupcake Karma project is simply to harness the power of cake to facilitate positive interactions between strangers in the city!
In this case, the strangers are residents of the other apartments on my floor, who I very rarely see, let alone speak to, despite my close proximity. This project is especially interested in the concept of trust. How much do my neighbours trust a relative stranger? How will they respond to the gift of cake? |
