June 9th, Sunny Miles!

When I woke up this morning (Juneathon the 9th!) and saw how sunny it was, I was raring to go, especially after a day off yesterday! knowing I'd better not do too much this week I headed out for a gentle 10k... but it was such nice weather that turned into  eight and a half miles instead... A bit quicker than I should have been too. Whoops.
June 9th
This time last year, a Tuesday would have been a track night, but I have been doing an evening course recently, which runs on Tuesdays and has stopped me from getting along. This week however, there was no class and I had been toying with the idea of heading to track, but also unsure if speed work was a good plan. My dilemma was solved however, when I got a text from a friend asking if I fancied a run... Well, yes. Yes I did and a gentle few miles at practice marathon pacing speed seemed a good compromise! I still ran it too quickly... but slower than I'd have done at a club session so all's well that ends well. Especially when it's sunny!
