The Nexus SketchCrawl Workshop
On April 6th 2013, seven participants met at Nexus Art Café to join in with a This Place Is workshop. We started off with a leisurely stroll around the streets of Manchester's Northern Quarter, soaking up the much needed sunshine after so many weeks of cold weather! Participants decided on places in the nearby streets that they felt they would like to spend some time in to make drawings, take photos and jot down their thoughts on. After an hour, we (somewhat reluctantly!) moved in from the sun and headed back to Nexus to use their craft room as a space for completing the booklets (and enjoying the free tea and cake!). We also had a lengthy chat about all kinds of random things that we have seen or experienced in Manchester (and one or two other topics too!).
