This Place Is is a public project launched in summer 2012 that aims to build up a physical record of personal responses to a variety of places, starting from the UK and hopefully including places all over the world. Continuing a social practice which explores perceptions of place and the capacity of the arts to improve relationships with and in it, This Place Is hopes to provide a platform for people to share and discuss the places and spaces they inhabit... or wish they inhabited.

Contributions will be featured on these pages and will then be physically displayed in an dedicated exhibition. Visit the main project page for more information.
After PlaceMaking Workshops in Dalian, staff and students of English First were invited to engage further with the concept of PlaceMaking through the This Place Is project. These contributions share various experiences of different locations.
In 2013, Glittermouse jetted off on a new mission taking in the sights and sounds of five different cities. This Place Is project books provided an excellent method of recording impressions of these places.
