In 2013 PlaceMaking workshops were conducted in the UK with a staff and students from Hangzhou Jiangbin Vocational School and in Dalian (PRC) with younger Chinese students of English First. These aimed to extend recent project work by moving beyond the UK, questioning the importance of cultural as well as geographical differences in responding to our environments. In October 2009 practice became formed by the academic structure of an MA in 3D Design at the Manchester Institute for Research and Innovation in Art and Design (a faculty of Manchester Metropolitan University). With assessments at Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Arts stages, the submissions and related documents have influenced the course of practice as well as informing content. Completed for conferral in Autumn 2011, written work produced alongside practice can be found here.
